Top Five Caribbean Attractions

The Baths (Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands): One of the top natural Caribbean attractions is the Baths located in the Virgin Gorda. The Bath is an area covered by massive granite boulders or batholiths created by volcanic eruptions causing some stunning caverns and tranquil pools to be formed.  These huge stones or batholiths create caverns, caves and small tidal pools that invite everyone to explore. Vacationers can dive, snorkel or swim in the area around the batholiths. When visiting the Baths, make sure you have your bathing suit so you can explore the Baths from both land and sea.

2.      La Soufriere, St. Lucia: The la Soufriere Drive in Volcano in St. Lucia is one of the Caribbean finest attractions. It provides an extra-ordinary experience of visitors because you can drive your car directly into semi-active volcano and explore the volcanic activities on foot. Visitors are greeted with its scent of sulfur and see a fizzing, hissing cater that extents more the five acres volcanic lands.

Harrison's Cave (Barbados): The Harrison’s Cave in the Caribbean island of Barbados is believed to be the largest limestone cave of its kind in the Caribbean. Visitors are able to explore this cave by using electric tram that takes them through a large cave system with an incredible spectacle of stalagmites and Stalactites. The journey passes through a 40-foot waterfall and numerous crystal-clear underground pools and streams. This limestone cave is a natural Caribbean destination that anyone can enjoy.

Dunn's River Falls (Jamaica): Reputed for being one of Jamaica's most prominent vacation attraction this 600-foot waterfall is truly an amazing sight. The clear, cool waters make their way over a series of stone steps leading to the waters of the warm Caribbean Sea below. Visitors climb the waterfalls from the beach right to the top, stopping on the way to relish the cool pools of water formed naturally in the river rocks and the waterfalls which are gentle in some places and positively thunder in others. When you get to the top, you will feel refreshed and invigorated.

Pitch Lake, Trinidad: The Pitch Lake has been described as the ugliest tourist attraction in the Caribbean, and some visitors have equated its appearance to a massive parking lot. However, this bubbling, hissing, stinky 100-acre lake of liquid asphalt is the biggest of its kind in the world, and well worth a visit. Situated near the town of La Brea, the Pitch Lake is 350 feet deep, and visitors can walk on parts of its crusty surface. Guides will show you how the lake is continuously moving and swallowing some items, spitting out others. The lake, which contains an estimated 6 million tons of asphalt, is replenished from pitch veins that run deep below the earth's surface.
