Review of Caribbean Vacation Activities

The islands of the Caribbean vacation activities provides some of the most rewarding experiences for visitors. These islands offer a number of great vacation options including family, romantic, honeymoon, singles, adventures, sailing, surfing, and other water sports activities. Visitors have the option of choosing a vacation spots in the eastern or the western Caribbean which are many. The Eastern Caribbean is well known of its sailing, island hopping, hiking, site seeing and lovely beaches. Equally, the western Caribbean which have all the larger islands are wonderful beaches, excellent hotels, exciting water parks, great marine life attractions and lovely site seeing adventures.

In the eastern Caribbean islands such as Grenada, St. Vincent, Dominica, St. Lucia, Martinique, and Guadeloupe are excellent hiking destinations. These are geographic formation is generally volcanic with their many scenic volcanoes, hot springs, and nature vegetation for visitors to explore and enjoy. Additionally, there is a stretch of islands between Grenada and St. Vincent which is called the Grenadines has some of the most beautiful sailing waters in the Caribbean.

The Grenadines is always lovely to visit especially during the months November to April where there is usually a lot of sailing regattas hosted by the different small islands. These island offer exciting sailing Caribbean vacation activities. Moreover, the Grenadines is a perfect destination for visitors visiting the islands of St. Vincent, Grenada, Barbados and St. Lucia who wants to go island hopping. The island of Barbados is the only Caribbean territory completes surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean is another of the eastern Caribbean most famous places. Barbados is home to best surfing waters in the Caribbean along with some of the best beaches, caves, and festivals in the region.

Other small island territories like Antigua, St. Kitts, Anguilla, British and United States Virgin islands and St. Martin are wonderful sailing and marine life destination. The British and United States Virgin Islands are the best sailing vacation destination in the region. One of the reasons for this is that they are located close to each other. Antigua, Anguilla, St. Martin and St. Kitts are some wonderful beach destination. These islands beaches are often buzzing with activities. You can rest assured that you will enjoy some well-appointed restaurants, spa services, and outstanding hotels at these destinations.
The island of the western Caribbean which includes all the larger islands in the Caribbean along with Bahamas and the Cayman islands are also wonderful vacation destination. Bahamas offers visitors some of the best water sports attractions in the world and with great marine life attractions. These islands are wonderful for island hopping.

Additionally, the Cayman Islands are another top Caribbean water sport destination. These islands have the clearest underwater visibility in the world. The island of Jamaica is the top honeymoon and romantic destination in the region. It is just place that you can enjoy unique Caribbean culture in a wonderful tropical environment. The island of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic are to Spanish speaking islands that are wonderful for windsurfing, surfing, fishing and snorkeling. These are great Caribbean vacation activities that visitors to the region can enjoy.

Caribbean Island Vacation Activities


The various Caribbean island vacation activities are some of the most diverse in the world. These are places that possess lovely sunshine, dazzling blue seas, great sand beaches and amazing cultural diversity which make each destination unique in its offer and attractions. A visit to the Caribbean could allow you to experience the French, Dutch, Spanish, Africa, Indian and to a lesser extent the Chinese and the European cultures.

The islands are blessed with wonderful natural attractions. Visiting the different islands can allow you to see the different types of beaches in the Caribbean. These include dazzling white sand, lovely black sand, beautiful pink sand and rich golden sand beaches. The islands of Barbados, Jamaica, Antigua, Bahamas, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Anguilla, and the Cayman Islands offers some of the best beaches in the region. Caribbean beaches are ideal for diving, swimming, sunbathing and relaxing in a beautiful tropical atmosphere. For the more activity types of visitors the beaches provide an opportunity to go surfing, parasailing, wind surfing, water skiing, kite boarding, ocean kayaks, and sand castle building.

Some of the main countries that provide great opportunities for surfing are Barbados, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, British Virgin Islands and Martinique. The island of Barbados host a surfing competition even year called Soup Bowl which is one of the leading surfing competition in the world. The Spanish speaking territory of the Dominican Republic is the kite boarding capital of the world. Additionally, it is one of the leading windsurfing destinations in the Caribbean hosting the Windsurfing World Cup annually in June.

In the area of scuba diving and snorkeling most islands provide great opportunity to do these types of activities. However, the Cayman Islands provides to of clearest water for scuba diving and snorkeling. The islands under water visibility are second to none in the world with its spectacular marine life. Bahamas is another set of islands that has great marine life. The islands of the Bahamas have the third largest Barrier reef in the world.

Another aspect of Caribbean island vacation activities is the opportunity to go dolphin and whale watching. Some of the countries that offer include St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, Antigua and St. Kitts and Nevis. Amongst the different islands Dominica has the best rate of whale watching success in the Caribbean. There are also great opportunities for sailing and island hopping in the Caribbean. The British Virgins Islands is by far the top sailing destinations in the region. Other sailing and island hopping Caribbean islands are the Grenadines, Grenada, Bahamas, St. Lucia and Anguilla.

Apart from the sand and the sea the Caribbean islands have great in land activities that you can enjoy. These include birding watching, historic tours, vibrant nightlife, festivals, hiking, sports, religious and cultural activities to name a few. Among the islands that are great hiking destination are Dominica, St. Vincent, Martinique, Jamaica, and Guadeloupe. The country of St. Lucia has the two Piton Mountains and a dive in volcano which are excellent place to go site seeing. The island of Barbados has the Harrison’s Cave which is an amazing geographical spectacle is also an exciting spot for site seeing. Jamaica has the scenic Dunn’s River Fall which is an amazing hiking experience.

Weddings and Honeymoons in Cayman Islands
